Personal Opinions

On the specs sheet, it says this lens focuses down to 0.228m.  On the lens in the distance scale window, it says 0.249m.  This discrepancy was not tested so I am unable to verify which one is correct.

On extension, the lens extends with orange markings on the barrel.  As it extends, barrel markings read 1:4, 1:2, 1:1.5, 1:1.2, 1:1.  As it extends, markings in the distance scale window read 1:10, 1:8, 1:6, 1:5, 1:4, 1:3, 1:2.5, 1:2.  In the photograph of the lens above, you can see the 1:4 orange marking on the lens barrel.

Fully extended, it is about an additional 2.9cm, almost 2/3 of the original lens length.

The front element of the lens is small and deeply recessed, forming an almost natural lens hood by virtue of this deep recess alone.

AF speed is understandably very slow because of the huge rotational distance it has to travel from the minimum distance to infinity.  Add to this the fact that it utilises the old AFD motor and you have a slow and noisy AF lens.

In mint condition, this lens retails for about SGD400, though it can go lower.
